मोतीलाल प्रजापति का जन्म 14 जुलाई 1963 को हुआ। धुंधाड़ा गाँव की स्कूल से प्रारम्भिक शिक्षा लेने के बाद उन्होंने सर प्रताप स्कूल, महात्मा गांधी स्कूल और न्यू गवर्नमेंट स्कूल से पढ़ाई की, और तत्कालीन जोधपुर विश्वविद्यालय (अब जयनारायण व्यास विश्वविद्यालय) से अर्थशास्त्र व राजनैतिक विज्ञान में एम.ए. (पूर्वार्द्ध) किया। विद्यार्थी जीवन में ही उन्हें स्काउट गतिविधियों में तत्कालीन राष्ट्रपति श्री नीलम संजीवा रेड्डी तथा प्रधानमंत्री श्रीमती इंदिरा गांधी द्वारा सम्मानित किया जा चुका है। Motilal Prajapat was born on 14 July 1963. After his early education at the village school in Dhundhara, he studied at Sir Pratap School, Mahatma Gandhi School and New Government School, and went on to complete an M.A. (prev.) in Economics and Political Science from the then Jodhpur University — now Jai Narain Vyas University. As a student, his work in the Scouts was honoured personally by the then President of India, Shri Neelam Sanjiva Reddy, and by the then Prime Minister, Smt. Indira Gandhi.

मोतीलाल प्रजापति का जन्म 14 जुलाई 1963 को जोधपुर ज़िले में हुआ। पिता श्री जगदीश कुम्हार के घर जन्मे मोतीलाल की प्रारम्भिक शिक्षा धुंधाड़ा गाँव की स्कूल से हुई। इसके बाद उन्होंने सर प्रताप स्कूल, महात्मा गांधी स्कूल और न्यू गवर्नमेंट स्कूल से पढ़ाई पूरी की, और तत्कालीन जोधपुर विश्वविद्यालय (अब जयनारायण व्यास विश्वविद्यालय) से अर्थशास्त्र व राजनैतिक विज्ञान विषयों में एम.ए. (पूर्वार्द्ध) की उपाधि प्राप्त की।
विद्यार्थी जीवन में ही उन्होंने स्काउट गतिविधियों में विशेष योग्यता दिखाई। वर्ष 1979 में तत्कालीन राष्ट्रपति श्री नीलम संजीवा रेड्डी ने उन्हें बेस्ट स्काउट गाइड के पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया, और आगे चलकर तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री श्रीमती इंदिरा गांधी द्वारा भी इसी उपलब्धि पर सम्मान मिला। इसी दौर में उन्होंने NCC के फ्लाइंग कोर्स में पायलट लाइसेंस प्राप्त किया, CDS उत्तीर्ण की, तथा माउंटेनियरिंग का बेसिक कोर्स भी पूर्ण किया।

मोतीलाल प्रजापति ने 12 दिसम्बर 1988 को भारतीय जीवन बीमा निगम (LIC) में बतौर अभिकर्ता अपने व्यवसायिक जीवन की शुरुआत की। वर्ष 1990 में उन्होंने सात करोड़ रुपये का व्यवसाय कर चेयरमैन क्लब की सदस्यता प्राप्त की — यह उपलब्धि उस दौर में क्षेत्र के सबसे उल्लेखनीय बीमा करियरों में गिनी गई। वर्ष 2004 से वे मिलियन डॉलर राउंड टेबल (MDRT) के सदस्य हैं, और इस उपलब्धि के अंतर्गत उन्होंने न्यूयॉर्क की यात्रा की; इसके पश्चात 2008 में चीन, 2011 में श्रीलंका और 2013 में नेपाल का भी दौरा किया। वर्षों तक जोधपुर मंडल के शीर्ष अभिकर्ताओं में शुमार रहते हुए उन्हें LIC की ओर से कई प्रशस्ति-पत्रों व "आपका सम्मान, आपके आंगन" जैसे विशेष सम्मानों से नवाज़ा गया।
भारतीय जीवन बीमा निगम में कार्य करने के साथ-साथ मोतीलाल प्रजापति राजनैतिक गतिविधियों में भी निरंतर सक्रिय रहे। वर्ष 1993 से 1998 तक वे भारतीय जनता पार्टी से निर्विरोध पंचायत समिति सदस्य निर्वाचित हुए। इसी दौरान वे शिक्षा कमेटी के स्थायी सदस्य रहे और उनके प्रयासों से क्षेत्र के 14 विद्यालयों को क्रमोन्नत कराया गया। वर्ष 1994 में वे लूणी शिक्षा कमेटी के अध्यक्ष रहे।
वर्ष 1999 में वे झालामंड ग्राम पंचायत के सरपंच निर्वाचित हुए। उनके कार्यकाल की एक बड़ी उपलब्धि गाँव में मिडिल स्कूल की स्थापना रही — जो पहले वहाँ उपलब्ध नहीं थी — साथ ही उन्होंने विद्यालय के लिए 57 बीघा भूमि भी दिलवाई। इसी सेवा भावना के चलते तत्कालीन उपराष्ट्रपति स्व. श्री भैरोंसिंह शेखावत ने उन्हें "बेस्ट सरपंच" के सम्मान से नवाज़ा।
संगठनात्मक स्तर पर, मोतीलाल प्रजापति 1986 में कुम्हार महासभा के संगठन मंत्री बने, 2003 में भाजपा लूणी मंडल के उपाध्यक्ष रहे, और 1999 से 2014 तक भाजपा किसान मोर्चा के जिलाध्यक्ष के पद पर कार्यरत रहे। वर्ष 2006 में उन्हें कुम्हार महासभा का प्रदेश उपाध्यक्ष बनाया गया, और 2014 से 2016 तक वे किसान मोर्चा की प्रदेश कार्यकारिणी के सदस्य रहे।
सामाजिक-धार्मिक क्षेत्र में भी उनकी सक्रिय भागीदारी रही है — वर्ष 2016 से 2019 तक वे श्री श्रीयादे माता धाम के अध्यक्ष रहे, और 2019 से 2023 तक इस धाम के संरक्षक की ज़िम्मेदारी निभाई। पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय कार्यक्रमों में भी उनकी भागीदारी उल्लेखनीय रही है — अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी के नेतृत्व में मुंबई में हुई ऐतिहासिक रैली में वे जोधपुर से कार्यकर्ताओं की तीन बसें भरकर स्वयं साथ ले गए थे।
आज मोतीलाल प्रजापति किसान मोर्चा, भारतीय जनता पार्टी की प्रदेश कार्यकारिणी के सदस्य के रूप में राजस्थान के किसानों और ग्रामीण कार्यकर्ताओं की आवाज़ बुलंद करने में सक्रिय हैं — वही सेवा-भाव लिए जिसके साथ उन्होंने अपनी यात्रा एक ग्राम पंचायत सदस्य के रूप में शुरू की थी।
Motilal Prajapat was born on 14 July 1963 in Jodhpur district, to Shri Jagdish Kumhar. He received his early education at the village school in Dhundhara, followed by Sir Pratap School, Mahatma Gandhi School and New Government School. He later completed an M.A. (prev.) in Economics and Political Science from the then Jodhpur University — now Jai Narain Vyas University.
Even as a student he showed particular aptitude in Scouting. In 1979 the then President of India, Shri Neelam Sanjiva Reddy, honoured him with the Best Scout Guide award, and the same distinction was later recognised by the then Prime Minister, Smt. Indira Gandhi. In the same period he completed the NCC Flying Course and earned a pilot's licence, qualified CDS, and completed a Basic Mountaineering Course.

Motilal Prajapat began his professional life on 12 December 1988 as an agent with the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). In 1990 he achieved seven crore rupees of business, earning Chairman's Club membership — among the most notable insurance careers in the region at the time. Since 2004 he has been a member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), a qualification that took him to New York, and subsequently to China (2008), Sri Lanka (2011) and Nepal (2013). Ranked for years among the top agents of the Jodhpur division, he has received numerous certificates of excellence from LIC, including recognition under its "Aapka Samman, Aapke Aangan" programme.
Alongside his career at LIC, Motilal Prajapat remained continuously active in political life. From 1993 to 1998 he served as an uncontested Panchayat Samiti member for the Bharatiya Janata Party. During this period he was also a permanent member of the Education Committee, and his efforts led to the upgradation of 14 schools in the area. In 1994 he served as chairman of the Luni Education Committee.
In 1999 he was elected Sarpanch of the Jhalamand Gram Panchayat. A defining achievement of his tenure was the establishment of a middle school in the village — where none had existed before — along with securing 57 bigha of land for it. In recognition of this record of service, the then Vice-President of India, the late Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, honoured him with the "Best Sarpanch" award.
On the organisational side, Motilal Prajapat became Organisation Secretary of the Kumhar Mahasabha in 1986, served as Vice-President of the BJP's Luni Mandal in 2003, and was District President of the BJP Kisan Morcha from 1999 to 2014. In 2006 he was made State Vice-President of the Kumhar Mahasabha, and from 2014 to 2016 he served as a State Executive Committee member of the Kisan Morcha.
He has also remained active in social and religious life — serving as President of Shri Shriyade Mata Dham from 2016 to 2019, and as its Patron from 2019 to 2023. His participation in the party's national programmes has been notable too: at the historic Mumbai rally led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee, he personally organised and brought three busloads of party workers from Jodhpur.
Today, as a State Executive Committee member of the BJP Kisan Morcha, Motilal Prajapat continues to raise the voice of Rajasthan's farmers and grassroots party workers — carrying forward the same spirit of service with which he began his journey as a village panchayat member.
